Here at Legacy Studio of Dance, we strive to create a healthy, positive atmosphere for all! We seek to find the balance between dance technique education and helping each student discover themselves through dance and exercising their individuality and creativity. We strive to offer a safe place where each dancer has access to a well rounded dance education.

We offer a variety of degrees of participation, so each dancer can find the balance that works best for them, whether they wish to participate recreationally (regular weekly classes of ballet, tap, and jazz), add a few more classes to their weekly schedule (additional styles and technique classes available), or perform in additional performances (such as our annual “The Nutcracker”)giving dancers an extra chance at the excitement and thrill that comes from performing. Dancers who would like even more opportunities to perform, learn and grow are encouraged to be a part of the Studio’s Competition Team, which is truly a unique and wonderful experience which gives students a chance to meet dancers from other studios and make new friends, watch and be inspired be some amazing dancers, and learn by being given tips and critiques from professionals in the industry.

For us, Competition isn’t about winning a trophy or being better than someone else, it’s about taking every opportunity to learn and grow, encouraging good sportsmanship and ethics, appreciation for the arts, and supporting not just our teammates but all others in the dance community.

Miss Kasie began dancing at the age of 4 at Debby’s Dance Studio, where her passion for dance was first discovered. She soon became apart of every dance opportunity available, becoming an assistant teacher, joining the competition line, and attending every workshop she could, but it never seemed to be enough! After high school, Miss Kasie toured the country with Dance Olympus as a teacher’s assistant, learning from some of the best teachers in the country. Once she returned, she began dancing with the Minnesota Ballet for a few years, touring and performing with the company in ballets such as The Nutcracker, Gisselle, Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Sleeping Beauty.

After leaving the Ballet and teaching at another studio for a few years, Miss Kasie received the call that would change her life. Miss Debby (former teacher) wanted to sell her business. 11 years later, here we are! As dance has always been a safe place and outlet for her as a very shy young girl, Miss Kasie strives to give her students as many opportunities as possible.

It is Miss Kasie’s belief that we are never done learning and growing, therefore she is always on the hunt for new opportunities, knowledge, and ways to grow as both decent humans AND dancers, for both herself and her students.
